Elite Pitchers Boot Camp News and Special Announcement!

MLB Pitchers and Coaches Agree . . .

There’s No Other Place Like The Texas Baseball Ranch

Where Hundreds of Pitchers Come Every Year from Around the World

And this September, we have the entire Ranch team here in Southern California for their only West Coast Elite Pitchers Boot Camp!!!

See below for pricing and a special payment plan opportunity!!

What’s one reason you should attend Elite Pitchers Boot Camp with Coach Ron and the Ranch team?

No other place on earth has developed more 90 mph pitchers since 2003

More than 461 Ranch pitchers have broken the 90 mph barrier.

Over 157 have broken 94 mph, and 28 have topped 100 mph!

Plus, over 122 Ranch students have been drafted by Major League Baseball.

Just think about those numbers!

  • 461 of our pitchers over 90 mph
  • 157 over 94 mph
  • 28 over 100 mph

That doesn’t happen by accident!

It’s the “Ranch Secret Sauce” — centered around a “Constraint Led Approach to Skill Development.”

And now, that “Secret Sauce” is coming to you for our very own annual Southern California Elite Pitchers Boot Camp weekend with Coach Ron Wolforth and the entire Texas Baseball Ranch team, along with Jim Wagner’s Throwzone Academy!

The Ranch follows a unique, proven process with 4 specific steps:

  1. Assess: We thoroughly assess you as the individual athlete you are.
  1. Categorize: We put you in the best category to address your needs.
  1. Customize: We customize your program to maximize your progress.
  1. Prioritize: We give you a personalized plan to focus on what matters for YOU right now.

Just like your family doctor, we examine you, then we prescribe.

Anything else is malpractice.

Imagine how good you’ll get because you just found the best program in the world!

Texas Baseball Ranch Testimonials

“The information provided opened the door to a path that has transformed my career and allowed me to achieve my lifelong dream of becoming a professional baseball player.”
— Trevor Bauer, MLB Pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cy Young Award Winner

“Ron develops velocity, but it’s much more than that. He promotes arm health, control, command. He’s also an excellent communicator, with a unique way of encapsulating information and making it usable.”
— Brent Strom, Houston Astros Pitching Coach

“If I were still coaching baseball and I had pitchers who either threw a lot of innings and needed to build a bigger motor or did not throw a lot but needed to improve to compete, I’d definitely send them to Ron at the Texas Baseball Ranch.”
— Jerry Weinstein, Colorado Rockies

“What a golden opportunity it would be for any pitcher to get this kind of quality instruction. I am jealous! I want to be a student at the camp!”
— Alan Jaeger of Jaeger Sports Academy and Trainer to Barry Zito & Mike Lieberthal

“The video analysis was wonderful, but the breakdown of what was seen on video was superb. My son has been a technically sound pitcher, but the minor tweaks to his hips torque are what has really helped his velo. He now can ‘feel’ what he needs during throwing motion. He can also self-diagnose what his body is doing when he loses velo or misses the strike zone.”
— Jubel Reed, parent of Josh Reed from Midland, TX

“The Texas Baseball Ranch is great for any pitcher seeking velocity, command, and arm care. They will break down into every piece of your mechanics and make you a personalized plan. The most helpful parts of the camp were when Ron went through every possible disconnection in your wind up and Coach Tompson’s drill instruction and explanations. The camp was amazing and very much worth the time and money. The thing is, you have to PUT IN THE WORK. Then you will see results. Thank you to Coach Ron and the TBR staff!”
— Noah Laney, player from Poquoson, VA

How to Throw Harder

  • Develop a healthy, durable arm. (Most of the population has very little clue how to do this, and the conventional wisdom is horrible in this regard, which is one major reason arm injuries are at epidemic proportions.)
  • Develop a connected, efficient movement pattern. (Sounds simple, but without a plan, a vast majority of pitchers, even at the professional level, are disconnected to some degree.)
  • Build a bigger motor. (Develop skill-specific strength, specific to throwing a baseball, not powerlifting, bodybuilding, or football strength.)
  • Train neuromuscular firing by utilizing the underload/overload concept.
  • Understand the Bernstein Principle and the critical nature of “Intent.” Maybe nothing is more important to velocity development than understanding these two concepts and how to apply them in your training.
  • Objectively measure everything you can, from your warm-up to your recovery.
  • Regular checkups and assessments to make certain you are on track.

How to Have a Healthy & Durable Arm

  • Do not ignore it or minimize it. ANY pain or discomfort because there indeed is a reason for it.
  • Have a personalized and specific plan for the off-season, pre-season, and in-season because rest is not a plan.
  • Systematically prepare the soft tissue of the shoulder and elbow because rest is not preparation.
  • Develop strength in the prime movers so that the load will not be primarily dependent upon the arm, elbow, or shoulder.
  • Create strength balance, structural alignment, and physical symmetry because the body works as a synchronized unit.
  • Eliminate/reduce mechanical inefficiencies and disconnections.
  • Have a personalized and specific plan warm-up process.
  • Have a personalized and specific plan recovery process.
  • Monitor your sleep, nutrition, and hydration, all of which affect your ability to recover.
  • Create a competent team around you who know you, your goals, your workload, and your constraints.

All of these principles will be part of our SoCal EPBC weekend!

Coach Ron Wolforth and the Ranch team will be here Friday, September 22nd, through Sunday, September 24th.

Some of the weekend’s highlights include an intense video analysis circuit with Coach Ron working from 2 different angles, with both upper body assessments in the first round of circuits and a second round of assessments for the lower half of the body.

After each video analysis, the players go to 4 more stations where they incorporate the drills and tools Coach Ron tells them they need. Then there is a corresponding second round of circuits for the lower half of the body, including more assessments and drills led by the Ranch team of experts.

Players and parents receive a camp notebook FULL of information, instructions, drills, and places to make notes on all the details each coach provides. The purpose of this notebook is to give you much-needed directions AFTER the camp concludes so each player has a full and detailed plan on how to continue their development, including velocity goals and control/command goals too.

Campers also receive a camp shirt plus 1-on-1 time with Coach Ron to implement all the instruction over the 3-day period.

If you’re going to a showcase or another tournament, you need to cancel that and work with the BEST pitching coach/teacher/mentor in the world. Learn the importance of DEVELOPMENT and TRAINING as opposed to attending another meaningless tournament where coaches are not going to be watching your son’s team, which is so prevalent in this game of trying to get your son to college, let alone a Saturday high school game that will have no bearing on the season.

However, this weekend is sure to change your son’s life and the trajectory of his development. And it will open his (and your) eyes to the possibility of truly reaching your goals. There is a reason why so many players have thrown 90+ mph with Ranch training, starting at the Elite Pitchers Boot Camp!!

Mind you, camp is getting close, and your registration is required much sooner than later. The Texas Baseball Ranch team is flying out here, returning for our 17th year of hosting this camp, so we need you to register as soon as possible.

The cost of the SoCal camp is $1099.

This same camp in Houston is currently $2899, not including the cost of a flight, hotel, car, and food, so this is a tremendous bargain right in our own backyard.

The Ranch team makes special accommodations, partnering with us for almost 20 years now, and it’s definitely time to take advantage of the camp cost and register today. Go to www.throwzone.com for all the details, including the registration form.

To help assist financially, and for the first time ever, we are willing to break the EPBC cost into 3 payments over 3 months!

The 1st payment of $400 is due at registration. The 2nd payment of $350 is due on September 8th, and the 3rd payment of $350 is due on October 6th.

Of course, payment can be made in full or split into 2 payments, but however you choose to pay, we want you to take advantage of this special payment plan and get registered today.

Call or text Coach Jim at 661-644-2147 or email jim@throwzone.com. We can answer any questions, but you must reach out today!
