One Night Only! The Coaches Clinic with Ron Wolforth Returns Thursday, September 22!

For the 12th year in a row, renowned Texas Baseball Ranch founder and owner Coach Ron Wolforth will be in Southern California for a one night only, 3-hour coaching clinic on Thursday, September 22nd. Hosted by and held at Throwzone Academy in Santa Clarita, CA from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, we have a fantastic evening planned for you!

Coach Wolforth comes to Southern California only once a year, and his presentation is only offered at Throwzone Academy! This is a very special opportunity to learn from one of the best pitching development coaches in the U.S.

Coach Wolforth’s presentation will include live demonstrations, a detailed PowerPoint presentation, and pitching videos with analysis of today’s top MLB pitchers. Plus, guests will be able to participate in a Q&A session with Coach Wolforth and some of Coach Wagner’s pitchers. This clinic will present the latest in innovative training and show you how to implement these new protocols into your programs and teams.

The Coaches Clinic is open to all high school, college, and travel ball coaches as well as any parent interested in learning more about keeping their child’s throwing arm healthy.

Here is the list of coaches speaking throughout the evening:

*Ron Wolforth: Coach Wolforth’s presentation will focus on the question of whether we are chasing capability or consistency. The answer for each individual athlete will determine the path forward in their training.

For example, if a high school senior is throwing 78-80 mph, then we need to focus on capability. However, if a junior high school player is throwing 86-89 mph, then we need to focus on consistency.

Another example would be if that senior player is throwing 83-84 mph, in which case we may need to focus on capability in the offseason but switch to working on consistency come preseason. Secondary pitches also need to be factored into the training equation.

*Jonathan Massey: Coach Massey will delve further into the topic of capability vs. consistency.

*Garrett Wolforth (Catcher for the Cincinnati Reds): Current owner of the best pop time in the MLB, Garrett will discuss arm strength and add his thoughts on the topic of capability and consistency training.

*Jim Wagner (Owner/Director of Player Training of Throwzone Academy): Coach Wagner will discuss how to integrate this topic of capability and consistency into equipment used for training.

Last year this clinic was attended by professional, collegiate, high school, and youth coaches from all over Southern California. Space is limited to 20 participants. The cost to attend this special evening is $74 per person, and payment can be made via Venmo, Zelle, check or credit card. The evening will include a light dinner of sandwiches, chips, drinks, and dessert.
