Our summer training camp is a highly established strength, conditioning, and throwing training protocol that will incorporate baseball strength training as well as arm care and velocity enhancement.
The goal of our summer program is be to further aid the explosive nature of throwing through our core and leg strength conditioning systems that is not found anywhere else in Southern California.
And here’s another reason why attending Throwzone’s 16th annual Summer Velocity Enhancement and Arm Health Camp is such an important step in a player’s development and advancement:
Myth: If I go to a college camp that has multiple college coaches, I’ve got a better chance of getting noticed than if I don’t go to the camp.
Fact: College showcases are very expensive, usually anywhere from $250 to $1,500. One of the biggest camps is at Stanford University, which has as many as 30 different university and college coaches and costs close to $1,500. A good portion of the camp cost goes to pay volunteer assistants some stipend money while the coaches attending usually get paid to attend the camp as long as they wear their college polo shirt and sun visor and carry a clipboard. College camps are 99% a waste of valuable resources that could be put toward real training whether with a coach or as an investment in a weight training program.
Solution: Development and training are the two most important things a player needs to focus on in order to move on to the next level. By raising the bar on your development, you’re investing in yourself and growing your ability to throw the ball harder with more consistent strikes as well as the ability to recover more quickly so you can throw again the next day. Throwzone’s summer training camp will ensure that you improve as a player so that you’re able to showcase yourself to coaches when the time is right.
